E-TEAM Update

Image
Hello Everyone. (These are two of my favorite E-Team Guys Picking and a Grinning) This is just a note to let you know about the summer missions program we are involved with called E-Team. We are working with 8 great teens and learning how to work together. I'll give more details later, but for now I wanted to share the picture gallery over at pennsweb . Enjoy.

Worship Wallpapers...

How much imagery is too much? Back in the fall Collide Magazine ran an article by Camron Ware , and his work really caught my eye. He uses projectors and lighting to transform auditoriums into different spaces. Some of the scenes are incredible. It's almost as if your walls become a monitor and you just pick whatever desktop wallpaper you want for the occasion. For more examples check out Camron's site at visualworshiper.com or check out his Flickr Feed. You could really run with themes and certain designs for specific messages. I like this idea, and aside from the expense, I wonder if there are any drawbacks to this kind of setup. Would this enhance the purpose of the church, or would it be distracting? I'd like to see this setup in person, but I have a feeling that I would find it appealing. What's your take?

Just When I Thought I Had Seen It All...

Hat Tip to Kruse for this news... YouveBeenLeftBehind.com . Yep, that's right. A website that will send out emails to your lost friends and family members 6 days after the rapture occurs. So the obvious questions... 1. Why six days? 2. How will they be sent? According to the site... We have set up a system to send documents by the email, to the addresses you provide, 6 days after the "Rapture" of the Church. This occurs when 3 of our 5 team members scattered around the U.S fail to log in over a 3 day period. Another 3 days are given to fail safe any false triggering of the system. My question is, What if one of the team members doesn't get raptured and logs in? Do you get your money back? Hmmm...

Quieting Down

I appreciate everyone who's been following the blog this year. I just wanted to warn you that things are about to really slow down in June. It's a crazy month for my family, (VBS, Camps, Missions, One Prayer) so there probably won't be many posts. But I hope to be taking lots of pictures and showing them in July. Enjoy your summer...
