Rescue is Coming

I read a very familiar passage today, but it hit me in a new light.

Esther 4:12 When Esther’s words were reported to Mordecai, 13 he sent back this answer: “Do not think that because you are in the king’s house you alone of all the Jews will escape. 14 For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

“Relief and deliverance WILL arise..”

God is coming… Salvation is coming… Rescue is coming.

You can stay quiet if you want. You can perish if you want. Or you can be part of something special, something miraculous.

This makes me think so many wonderful things. God raised His son from the dead; He’s already started the rescue operation. I want to be a part of this. I want to be a part of the miraculous. Esther’s faith was incredible and it changed the world for her people. How I would love to have that kind of faith.

If you like David Crowder, you might check out his song by this name Rescue is Coming.
