From my reading today I was reminded that the Lord is God and there is no other. Just out of curiosity, I looked up this phrase in the ESV to see where it occurs, and you can see the results below. Pay close attention to the last reference, I'm sure it's no coincidence.
To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.
know therefore today, and lay it to your heart, that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
1 Kings 8:60
that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other.
one person who has no other, either son or brother, yet there is no end to all his toil, and his eyes are never satisfied with riches, so that he never asks, “For whom am I toiling and depriving myself of pleasure?” This also is vanity and an unhappy business.
