A Big Idea

The guys over at LifeChurch are at it again. This idea is huge! They are trying to unite the church in prayer and inviting other pastors to help with the series.

What do you think about this? I love the idea of trying to unite the church. I'm not sure how our church would handle a video for Sunday Morning instead of a live speaker, though I know that many churches already do this. We are going to pray about participating in this event. I think it would be tremendous to see churches across the world seeking God's face together.

Friday is for Photos - Frosty January Morning

Frosty January Morning or A Bunch of Limbs with a Fence (Click on the image to see a higher resolution picture) I went out and shot this picture last Saturday morning. I've been by this spot before with snow, and even with a thicker frost. I think this time I got there just a little late and was hoping the sun would have been just a little lower. This picture is a hard call for me. When I first looked at it, all I saw was a dark fence and a bunch of tree limbs. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked the shadows on the posts and just the lighting of the whole picture. What do you think? A beautiful capture of a January morning or just a fence with some tree limbs? I'm not sure just what I think of it myself.

Are We The New Freaks?

I don't know anything about Carl Trueman, but JT (Justin Taylor) from Between Two Worlds has highlighted a couple of his posts these past few days. Here's what's scary... It appears Mr. Trueman and I were watching the same edition of the Rachel Maddow Show and it stirred both of us the same way. He wrote this piece after watching that show. I wrote my own "Troubled" parts 1 and 2 after I saw the show.
