Luke 24:25 And he said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all he Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
I also found it interesting how suffering and glory work together in the scriptures. Here is the passage we were studying on Wednesday.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.I don't care what any prosperity preacher would tell you, suffering is the road to glory.
